Welcome to Lower Primary (Year 1 – Year 3)

Our Lower Primary School builds on Early Years foundations and prepares pupils for higher-level learning through a structured curriculum, purposeful teaching, and a supportive environment. Children develop essential literacy, numeracy, reasoning, communication, and social skills that shape their academic future.

Our Lower Primary Classes

Year 1 (5 – 6 Years)

This is the transition year from Early Years into formal schooling. Pupils strengthen early reading, phonics, handwriting, number skills, and comprehension. Learning is activity-based, engaging, and structured to make the shift into primary school smooth and enjoyable.

Year 2 (6 – 7 Years)

At this stage, children begin to expand their academic confidence and analytical thinking. Emphasis is placed on reading fluency, writing structure, problem-solving techniques, and foundational science concepts. Pupils develop independence and responsibility in classwork and assessment..

Year 3 (7 – 8 Years)

Year 3 deepens understanding across subjects and prepares learners for upper primary. Children work on extended writing, multi-step mathematics problems, scientific inquiry, digital skills, and collaborative projects. This level strengthens discipline, leadership, and self-confidence.
